The THRIV3 Aquatic Staff Induction Program is a structured, non-accredited internal training course designed to ensure all staff working at the Narromine and Trangie Aquatic Centres are competent, confident, and compliant before commencing operational duties.

This induction provides comprehensive training in aquatic facility operations, workplace health and safety, patron supervision, emergency response, water quality management, child safety obligations, and professional conduct. The course ensures staff understand their legal responsibilities under relevant NSW legislation, industry standards, and THRIV3 organisational policies.

Participants are introduced to core operational procedures including opening and closing processes, hazard identification and reporting, contamination response, emergency action plans, equipment handling, and effective communication in high-risk aquatic environments. The induction also reinforces expectations around customer service, cultural respect, workplace behaviour, and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all patrons.

The program supports compliance with the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations (GSPO), NSW Health Public Swimming Pool and Spa Pool Guidelines, Work Health and Safety requirements, and THRIV3’s internal governance frameworks. It ensures staff are prepared to respond to incidents, uphold safety standards, protect children and vulnerable persons, and maintain the professional reputation of THRIV3 Aquatic Centres.

This course forms a mandatory foundation for all aquatic staff and contributes to ongoing professional development, workplace readiness, and operational excellence.
